In this randomized, 2-treatment, 2-period crossover study, pharmacokinetic methods were used to study maximum serum concentrations in 18 patients in order to determine the optimal intravenous administration regimen.  Intravenous sotalol (75 mg) administered over 2.5 hours resulted in a significantly greater maximum concentration than oral sotalol (80 mg). https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/20562595/
